Rihanna is back and she is hotter than ever – You can tell by the colour of her hair (It is red). The album dropped yesterday (11-15-2010) in iTunes.
Album Cover

How is this album different from her last?

In my opinion, I think she is a bit softer. Reminds me of a hibiscis plant in full bloom (This plant also blooms red) She is still sensual however, it seems a bit more exotic. She takes it back to the Caribbean and her accent is more pronounced. Being that I am from Jamaica – the capital of the world – I love it.

What do I predict for this album?

I think she will have at least 5 songs from this album in the top 20. The sales will be huge as usual but people will enjoy this album more because it is more “dance-able” and doesnt take away from her still being raw-hanna. She doesnt touch on volatile topics such as suicide (Russian Roulette) or girl on girl action (Te Amo) like she did in her last album but, she will still evoke emotions.

Track Highlights

The song “S&M” will highlight what the latest sex survey revealed about the current sexual state of American (Basically this the land of freaks). “Cheers” also from her allbum is the perfect pre-party/club/crusing in your car song. “Man Down” is straight old school reggae (We call that style of reggae Ska) with a modern day vibe. “Love the way you lie II” is also going to hit home, but not in the clubs, but with everyone who has every had drama in their love life and by my count I think that is everyone on planet earth. “Complicated” is the perfect followup to that song because it too is about relationships and the roller coaster ride you opt to get on when you get into one.
Check out the album and let me know your thoughts… Oh by the way, this is not a review.

I am a certified Audiophile. I grew up in and around music, and when I say music I dont mean radio or in the club or iPod or CD listening music. I mean sound system with 20 – 40 speaker sets, with Amplifiers, Turn tables spining vinyl blasting all night from 6PM in the evening to 8AM in the morning. This all began when I was like 9 years old. Too young you say; well in Jamaica, you are never too young; as long as you can walk and talk you’re good to go.

Back to my post topic – I was in the mood for some music, but more of the kind that is popular now. I decided to drop by J&R in the lower Manhattan and pick up one CD called Now [this is what I call music] 32. This CD has hits like:
I got a feeling – BEP (Black Eyed Peas)
Best I ever had – Drake
Knock you down – Keri Hilson, Neo, Kanye
You Belong with me – Taylor Swift.

You get the picture – It is all the hits that are on the pop charts.

Having picked the CD up, I thought maybe J&R has a latest Dancehall/Reggae Hits CD; and they did. I spent over an hour looking for the right CD with the perfect mix of the hypest dance hall mix that I can dance to at home. I ended up with Strickly the Best Vol 41. Check out the details below:
